Brookdale Frequently Asked Questions

1. What are your Attendant hours?

Our Attendants are on site from 8am to 12pm. They will be happy to help you, stop in or call to discuss your laundry questions or needs. They will be happy to collect your droped off laundry and let you know when it will be ready for pick-up. If you wish it to be delivered, let the attendant know and they can arrange for the delivery.

2. Laundromat Hours?

We are open 5am to 10pm, 7 days a week.

3. What is a laundry card system?

We have a card system at our laundromat that allows you to pay in one location with cash, credit cards, debit cards, or apple pay. You can then use our card to start any of the machines in our laundromat. Forget the inconvenience of using quarters anymore! No more drudgery inserting 30 or 40 quarters to make the machines work!

4. Are Laundry Cards Reloadable?

Yes, hold onto your laundry card - when you first visit our store, you will need to purchase a laundry card for use with starting our machines. These cards can be reloaded during your current visit or future visits to our laundromats!

5. What do you charge for Wash N' Fold?

We charge $1.60 a pound. However, some items are individually priced such as Comforters, Blankets, Pillows, and other large or bulky items. There is no charge for Pick-up and Delivery. There is a minimum of 10 pounds for a Wash N' Fold order.

6. How long does Wash N' Fold take?

There is no real set time. Some customers need it sooner than others... in some cases, we will have it ready in a couple of hours... in other cases the customer does not need it back for two weeks. It really depends on your needs and our availability... Summer tends to be our busy time and our laundry availability may not be as flexible as in winter due to volume. Our general scheduled pick-up and delivery process takes 48 hours from doorstep back to doorstep. However, with some customers, we have a scheduled 24 hour turnaround. So, it really depends on your needs.

7. Do you have scheduled pick-up days?

This again depends on your needs. Most residential customers are picked up weekly on Tuesday or Wednesday and delivered on Thursday or Friday. However, other residential customers only need us to pick-up two times a month. We can schedule pick-ups monthly, weekly, or daily. Some of our customers require us to pick-up laundry every weekday... others require three times a week. It is all personal to your needs.

8. I have special needs, can you help me?

Absolutely! Some of our customers have special challenges that require additional assistance. Some can only lift a bag under 5 pounds, others use a walker and need us to place the laundry inside their house as they have trouble logistically bringing it inside the front door. Some customers have MS and require us to wait at the door as it takes a long time for them to navigate to the front door. Some customers are blind and require us to call them with the bill as they will not be able to see our paper bill attached to the laundry bag... or have some other challenge... Give us a call, we will see how we can work with you to get your needs met.

9. I like a specific detergent/softener, can my laundry be done with it?

Of, Course! Many of our customers have specific needs or preferences. If it is a more common type such as Gain, Tide, Downy, etc we likely have it onsite and can absolutely use the brand you like. Some customers prefer a "free n clear" brand of detergent/softener. Either way, we are happy to use your detergent preference. Some brands are a little bit more obscure and we may need you to send it in with the clothes. Just let us know when scheduling a pick-up or you are dropping off your laundry.

10. I like my laundry done a specific way, can you accommodate my process?

In most cases, yes! Let us know how you like your laundry done. In some special cases, we don't have the machines or space to accommodate the desired process - but in most cases, we can absolutely do your laundry your way. Unless you specify otherwise, our general process is to wash your items in cold water (most detergents are environmentally formulated for cold water) and will dry the items in medium heat.

11. How do I pay you for your laundry services?

We request a credit card to be placed on file. We then will charge the credit card when we deliver the laundry back to you. In some special cases, some customers pay with cash at delivery or make some other arrangement. However, the majority of our customers pay with a credit card.

12. Can you pick up my laundry at my work place?

Absolutely, many of our customers bring the laundry to the work place and we pick-up and deliver the bags to them there. As work day schedules change and there are times that are better than others to connect, we can text to find out what time is the best for your current schedule.

13. The weather is bad, will my laundry still be picked-up and delivered?

We make every effort to pick-up / deliver your laundry dispite weather conditions. Occasionally, we will need to delay pick-up or delivery due to safety concerns in severe weather conditions... if this happens, you will be notified of the delay and expected new day or time for delivery. Usually, the delay is only a matter of hours.

14. Do you offer dry cleaning?

Yes, we can pick-up dry cleaning! We have a minimum of $15 per order for dry cleaning. Most customers easily meet this minimum.

15. Do you offer volume discounts?

Yes, we do! We offer volume discounts to business accounts and can invoice the business monthly.

16. Can I do my own laundry in the machine?

Yes! You absolutely can.

17. When is the last Wash?

We close at 10pm daily, so the last wash is 9:00pm.

18. Can I use the laundry card anywhere else?

Yes! The laundry card also works at Laundry Express in Spring Lake Heights.
